Goats Floats on Facebook New FeaturesWUWM Public Radio Lake Country NOW Eleven-year-old Noah Godsell went beyond anyone’s expectations in 2013 when he established a fun small business he knew would attract many customers from a nearby ballpark. After a couple of successful summers at the park, he began partnering with his church, Spring Creek at a Farmers Market in the Waukesha area of Wisconsin and Elmbrook Church for a large ministry kickoff event. It is not a typical lemonade stand as you might think, but a stand selling root beer floats! He gave it the very unique and catchy name of “Goats Floats” and turned it into a business in which the profits are donated to Living Hope International. So far, his company has raised more than $10,000 (a combination of sales and matching grants) for the kids at Esperanza Viva. He and his staff have had a lot of fun together growing their company and Noah himself has gained a lot of recognition in the media with Junior Achievement and Milwaukee Public Radio.

Many people wonder how they can keep their STM experience and excitement going after they return home. Fortunately, there are several ways to extend your unforgettable experience with Living Hope! If you know someone who is hosting a fun event near you or you will be organizing one yourself (such as a contest, tournament, competition, party etc.) Goats Floats can come to you and your community!

Just as Noah and his friends used their skills to refresh their community with root beer floats, you can do something unique yourself! Use what is enjoyable and exciting to you and those around you – it could be something simple or elaborate. And if you have a great idea, but don’t have the time or resources to make it come to life, you can always let us know and we will try to find someone ready to make it happen.

Serving Goats Floats

Ever wonder how to continue impacting lives at Esperanza Viva while you’re in the US? Eleven-year-old Noah Godsell wondered about that, and his wondering led to a business that brought results far beyond anyone’s expectations.

In the summer of 2013, he created Goats Floats, a spin-off of your typical street-side lemonade stand, replacing citrus with root beer and other float flavors. His main customers came from a nearby ballpark and his volunteers from witnessing the enjoyable work environment. Goats Floats was such a success that last December, Noah was invited to give a presentation at a Junior Achievement banquet in front of 200 of their largest donors. Noah plans to continue expanding Goats Floats in 2014 in his efforts to continue doing his part, his way, in helping to care for the children of Mexico.

Have a great idea that could help change lives at Esperanza Viva? We want you to pursue it! Get creative and start dreaming today. You can impact lives by sharing God’s heart with others for the “least of these” at Esperanza Viva.

1 Timothy 4:12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. (NKJV)
