Playing a Personal Part in Hope & Healing

Summertime at Esperanza Viva Youth Homes means short-term missions groups! For the kids and staff at EV, our summers are highlighted by hosting multiple short-term missions teams from far away. Each team is unique in their talents and personality make-up, yet all are alike in their passion for serving God and the children. Some of the things groups usually do are:

  • Playing sports with the kids
  • Teaching songs
  • Joining in worship
  • Reaching out to the community
  • Helping with work projects
  • Being witnesses of the power of God’s love to change a life

Dan, a team member, shared, “I am not very good at connecting with kids. But God told me, ‘That’s ok, I am,’ and this encouraged me as I played with the kids.” If you have not been a part of a Week of Hope, contact us today for information about visiting us. We have open dates year-round.
