One Teen’s Drive Makes a Big Impact

Brooke and her mother signed up to go on a short-term missions trip to Esperanza Viva - Puebla, and the excitement to put their faith into action and meet some of the kids’ needs was exhilarating. When their team asked EV what they could bring in order to be a blessing, school supplies were among their greatest needs. This got Brooke’s wheels turning, resulting in an end-of-the-school-year supplies campaign that sent ripples not just through her class, but outward to her student council, then her entire school and even the community. Throughout the drive, they collected van-loads of supplies, many of which were new or gently used. What a great opportunity to not only hand-deliver suitcases full of wonderful school supplies, but now her school and community have heard about Esperanza Viva through her efforts. On top of this, so many items were donated, that other local ministries were also able to benefit from the abundance of scissors, tape, markers, glue, paper and more. Way to go Brooke!
