A Changed Future
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
One of the things that I’ve done over the years when I feel under the weight of the ministry or am challenged with different needs or problems, I’ll go outside to our big yard, and it’s amazing how the kids, the little girls, the little boys, they’ll come running to me and hug me. When I’m surrounded by all those kids and they’re so full of love and wanting my attention— I am reminded that this is what it’s all about. Because I also know their history and where they’ve come from, I know the likelihood that if they weren’t in the youth home, they might not even be alive today. But more than that, I know that there’s still a lot of other kids out there in terrible situations, in abusive situations, in abandonment, without education, without food, without medical care… and there’s no way I could just be content with where we’re at now, or with how many kids we’ve reached. Our heart’s desire is to provide this opportunity to as many kids as possible and we’re just so thankful that we can be a part of it and that you are part of it with us. And what it’s all about is being able to provide the kids with all the opportunities that they would have never been given, the opportunities that they need, in order to try to fulfill the purpose that God has for each of their lives.
