Our thoughts and prayers are with the Maki family, as they celebrate the lives of 3 of their children recently lost in a tragic fire.

The Maki family of Sheboygan Falls, WI has chosen to honor the lives of their children by requesting that in lieu of personal donations and financial gifts, that further gifts be donated to Living Hope International.

Natalie R. Martin

Natalie R. Martin, 11, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, as a result of a fire at their family home.

Natalie was born on March 8, 2004, in Sheboygan. She is the daughter of Matthew Martin, Kristi (Schmidt) and Christopher Maki. Natalie was a sixth grader at Farnsworth Middle School in Sheboygan.

Natalie was part of the family at Crossroads Community Church in Sheboygan. She was a member of REINS Riding Program and school chorus. Natalie was artistic and enjoyed arts and crafts, and singing.

Natalie is survived by her parents, Kristi and Christopher Maki of Sheboygan Falls and Matthew Martin of Sheboygan; her sister, Jenna Martin; grandparents, Larry and Mary Martin of Sheboygan, Marcie and David Laurin of Sheboygan Falls, Renee Thompson of Sheboygan, and Mike Schmidt of Sheboygan; great-grandparents, Robin Krause of Sheboygan, Betty Thompson of Cleveland, OH, Gary and Marsha Thompson of Georgia; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Natalie was preceded in death by her brothers, Benjamin Martin and Carter Maki.

A service to celebrate Natalie’s life will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Southside Alliance Church with Pastor Jeff Jaeger officiating. Friends may gather at the church from 1:30 pm until the time of the service at 6:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Natalie’s name for Living Hope International.

Benjamin L. Martin

Benjamin L. Martin, 10, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016, as a result of a fire at their family home.

Benjamin was born on March 1, 2005, in Sheboygan. He is the son of Matthew Martin, Kristi (Schmidt) and Christopher Maki. He was a fifth grader at Lake Country Academy in Sheboygan.

Benjamin was part of the family at Crossroads Community Church in Sheboygan. He enjoyed music, playing the piano, reading, computer games and electronics, 4-wheeling, and fishing.

Benjamin is survived by his parents, Kristi and Christopher Maki of Sheboygan Falls and Matthew Martin of Sheboygan; his sister, Jenna Martin; grandparents, Larry and Mary Martin of Sheboygan, Marcie and David Laurin of Sheboygan Falls, Renee Thompson of Sheboygan, and Mike Schmidt of Sheboygan; great-grandparents, Robin Krause of Sheboygan, Betty Thompson of Cleveland, OH, Gary and Marsha Thompson of Georgia; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Carter J. Maki

Carter J. Maki, 7, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, as a result of a fire at their family home.

Carter was born on December 3, 2008, in Sheboygan, son of Christopher and Kristi (Schmidt) Maki. He was a first grader at Sheboygan Falls Elementary School.

Carter was part of the family at Crossroads Community Church in Sheboygan. He enjoyed board and card games, playing outside, computer games, and reading. Carter will be remembered for his love of people.

Carter is survived by his parents, Kristi and Christopher Maki of Sheboygan Falls; his sister, Jenna Martin; grandparents, Marcie and David Laurin of Sheboygan Falls, Renee Thompson of Sheboygan, and Mike Schmidt of Sheboygan; great-grandparents, Robin Krause of Sheboygan, Betty Thompson of Cleveland, OH, Gary and Marsha Thompson of Georgia; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.
